check the 1891 census of P.E.I. I had a look but did not see a Laurence Arsenault in the listing;however my husbands grandmother is an Arsenault from P.E.I. and it is common for the men to be given the first name Joseph followed by a middle name which they may use instead. There are many Joseph Arsenaults listed in the census and a couple of Joseph L. Arsenaults (1 aged 30). There ia also 4 LeClerc families listed in the 1891 census. I hope this helps.
