Sincere Salutations Gerald (Having gone through the online Archives for les Charente Maritime, starting with the first available baptismal, marriage and death certificates that begin in 1607, before this date there is nothing. Some pages of these registers are not readable because they were not in good condition when they were digitized. Here is what we found since the discoveries of Chris Arseneault on Pierre Arsonneau born in 1646 in Migre, Charente Maritime, France. Found a death certificate for a Pierre Arsonneau who would have been Pierre’s father that is as follows: “Aujourd’hui quatre du sixième mois l’année mille six cent quatre vingt treize a été inhumé dans le cimetière de Migré le corp de Pierre Arsonneau agé de quatre vingt dix neuf ans par moi de Beaume Curé de Migré” “Today, fourth of the sixth month the year one thousand six hundred ninety three was interred in the cemetery of Migre the body of Pierre Arsonneau age ninety nine years old by me “de Baume”, Parish Priest of Migre” Pierre’s father would have been born in 1594 if the age of 99 years as shown on his death certificate is correct. We think that we found his Wife’s (Jeanne Goizin) birth certificate; she would have been born o/a 1608. André Arsonneau son of Pierre Arsonneau and Jeanne Goizin was baptized 18 December 1639 in church of Saint Benoit Migré, Saintonge, Department of Charente Maritime, France Magdelaine Arsonneau daughter of Pierre Arsonneau and Jean Goizin was baptized 9 July 1641 in the church of Saint Benoit, Migré, Saintonge, Department of Charente Maritime, France. We found a marriage for Magdelaine. She married at the age of 44 years Pierre Alleau on 7 May 1685. Pierre Arsonneau son of Pierre Arsonneau and Jeanne Goizin was baptized 25 September 1646 in the church of Saint Benoit in Migré, Saintonge, Department of Charente Maritime. Having looked at all readable birth, marriage and death certificates, from 1607 to 1693, we have been unable to find further trace of Pierre b1646, he disappeared from the region which would collaborate our belief that he left in 1671 for Acadia o/a 1671. He would have been 25 years old if he left on the the ship l’ oranger that year. Notify Administrator about this message?
