I am new to Canadian research and could really use some help! This is what I know:

My great-great-great grand parents are John and Julia Snow of Canada. They first show up in the US 1860 census in Massachusetts with children:

Ellick Snow, Born Approximately 1837 in Canada
Moses Snow, Born Approximately 1841 in Canada
Sarah Snow, Born Approximately 1842 in Canada
Peter Snow, Born Approximately 1844 in Canada
Julia Snow, Born Approximately 1844 in Canada
Alisa Snow (male), Born Approximately 1846 in Canada
Mary Snow, Born Approximately 1848 in Canada
Joseph Snow, Born Approximately 1851 in Massachusetts
Frank Snow, Born Approximately 1853 in Massachusetts
Felix/Felice Snow, Born Approximately 1859 in Massachusetts

John, Julia and most of the children end up in Ludlow Vermont.

John Snow was born approximately 1796/1797 in Canada (not sure where), to Peter Snow and Margaret ------. Julia's maiden name was Thibault born approximately in 1806 in St. Ours, Canada, to Frank Thibault and Marguerite Piccotain.

I have done extensive research in Vermont and am awaiting a marriage record of their son Peter from Mass...

I think their last name may have been Arseneau/Arsenault but I am not sure. How do I proceed?
