Last summer, Parks Canada, provided me with an amazing information indicating that the names of MARY WILSON and of her parents MICHAEL WILSON and ELLEN BLACK were probably invented to ease her adoption and the adoption of her brother WILLIAM by two families of the same parish on September 1847.

Apparently, she used that name WILSON all her life long, but accordingly with some historic works made on the Grosse-Isle Historic National Park ... her true name could be mory MARY-ANNE McGRATH daughter of MARY and MICHAEL McGRATH.

Those two if they are their biologivcal parents?)died in the Hospital of Grosse-Isle during the same week of 1847 and their names are carved on the Irish Memorial.

If it true (I need paper proof if possible), it will change all the storyline of my family!

Is someone aware of new clues about these McGRATH ?

P.S. : WILLIAM McGRATH maybe became a religious brother after leaving his adoptive family but no clues about his fate are actually known.

Your thoughts ?
