Hi The book "Historical Guidebook of the Evangeline Region" by Georges Arsenault, pg.22 states: Abram-Village (Abram's Village) Ever since it was first founded, this village has gone by various names: Village des Abrams, Abram's Village, Abraham's Village and Saint-Abraham. The name obviously stems from the fact that the village was founded by the decendants of Petit Abraham Arsenault, in other words, his own son Jean-Baptiste and his children and their families. They were known as the Abrams, hence the name Village des Abrams. also on pg. 8: The Family of Abraham Arsenault, the Younger In the summer of 1752, the French governor of Isle Royale dispatched the surveyor Joseph de la Roque to the Isle Saint-Jean to conduct a complete enumeration. He counted 32 families in Malpeque living mainly from farming. Arsenault was the predominant surname. In fact, 11 of the 32 families enumerated were Arsenaults. Included in this group was Abraham Arsenault, whose descendants founded Abram's Village, which for many years, was called Village des Abrams (Abram's Village). Sieur Joseph de la Roque recorded the following information regarding Abraham Arsenault's household: Abraham Arsenaud, dit le petit Abraham, native of L'Acadie, age 50 years has been in the country 11 years, ploughman (farmer). He is married to Marie Joseph Savoye, aged 42 years.
