Cecile, Thank you very much for the information you have added. There are significant pieces that I would not run across for a very long time without such help. I have dates for the marriage of Marie-Blanche and Anselme Hebert, but it took me a while to answer, because I have been trying to sort out the sources. (In case I’ve messed it up, I’ll apologize in advance.) Here’s what I have: Maria Robichaud wrote on the Robichaud GenForum that Caroline Robichaud and Anselme Hebert married 11 August 1884 in Cocagne. She also wrote that Marie-Blanche was born 9 May 1862 in Grande-Digue. She listed Caroline and Marie-Blanche as separate persons, at least tentatively. That is the right thing to do. But other information seems to indicate the two are the same person. The 1881 census shows Auguste (age 20) and Caroline (age 18) Robichaud living with Adelaide Caissy, the third wife and widow of Pierre Robichaud. (Appears the census was taken just before Auguste’s marriage and just after his father’s death.) The 1901 census shows Anselme Hebert (age 49, born 11 March 1852) and wife Caroline (age 39, born 9 May 1861) with children Napoleon, Joseph, Emma, Henri, and Alice. (The 1900 census shows August Robichaud and his family in Waltham, Massachusetts.) Jeanine Grant Lister posted information from the death notice of Marie-Blanche Robichaud, obtained from the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick, on RootsWeb World Connect (http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=nenebean&id=I1779): Marie-Blanche Robichaud, wife of Anselme Hebert of Notre Dame, Kent Co., New Brunswick, born 1860, died 22 April 1929, of pneumonia, duration 4 months. Daughter of Pierre Robichaud and Marie Brown. Burial 24 April 1929, in Notre-Dame Cemetery. So I’ve seen one record showing Anselme Hebert married to a Caroline (plus Maria Robichaud‘s information, which is probably from the marriage record), one record stating Marie-Blanche Robichaud was the wife of Anselme Hebert, and no single record showing the names of Marie-Blanche and Caroline separately. I can’t say they were the same person, and I recognize the improbability of one person being known by such different names, but the available evidence seems to point that way.
