The spelling is "Massey" at least according to my records. Massey and Lucy were my ggg grandparents. The both died and are buried in a family plot near Ames, Iowa were they migrated too sometime before 1852. That is they year of Massey's death. They had 10 children with Wesley being the oldest. My grandfather was James Dudley, the eighth child. I have the spouses of all 10 children as well as more.

According to my records, Lucy's father was married twice, Sarah Cunningham was mentioned as "other spouse" and Sally Gilson was identified as Lucy's mother. The father was William, b. 1766 in VA, d. 1850 in Bath County, KY.

It might be easier if this was done through direct e-mail as I do have quite a bit of information. It sounds as like we may be cousins.

If you would like more or if you have anything on the Morgans, I gladly take any help.

It is reported that the Arrasmiths have fought in every war since the French and Indian on 1760's.

Bruce Thayer
