Looks like you may descend from the OTHER brother we knew nothing about. Alot of us have traced back to Thomas and Mary. He is the brother who settled in Virginia and then the family moved to KY. Thomas died in Montgomery County, KY and some of the children (most) moved on over to Bath Co., KY. Further on down the line, my ggg grandfather Massey moved for a short time to Putnam Co., Indiana and my gg grandfather Joseph was born there. That might explain why they chose Indiana before moving to Iowa, being there were family already in Indiana. I'd be willing to exchange info if you like. It's the first I've heard Thomas' brother's name! Anyway, our records show he came from Scotland, but then Scotland was controlled by England at that time. Soon.............
