Earl was a popular name among Arps just like Benjamin is popular.

I have an Earl Arp (1908-1978) born and died in Knoxville, TN. He was my great uncle and visited often. He had two wives, Laverna Ballard and Sara Sue Garrett. Sara Sue just died in 2006 in NC.

The only people named Earl Arp I have as deceased in or near Knoxville TN are Earl (1908-1978)(mentioned above), Earl C (1914-1977), and Earl Frank "Curly" (1928-1956)(my uncle).
