Hi Neva,
I also descend from Peter Arnout/Arnot and would like to know more about him and where he came from. Peter died in 1764 in Goshen, Orange, NY. I have the same nine children that you list. Cornelius, Lydia, William md Elizabeth _____, Hannah md Gilbert Townsend Vail, John md Isabel _________, Jacob md Millicent Weily, Peter (Jr.) md Mary Knapp, Mary md James Hulse I, and Deborah.
