I am George Albert Neal. Henry Arnot is a 5th Great Grandfather. My link to Henry is his daughter, Debora Arnot, 1787 – 1843, who married Walter Neal Jr. 1786 – 1843, on 9 Apr 1804 in Monroe County, West Virginia. Walter Neal Sr. sold land to Henry Arnot in Monroe County October 15, 1799 ( re: Deed Bk. A, Monroe County, West Virginia.
I recently read your September 24, 2000 post. Are you still doing research on the Arnot / Arnott family line?
There is an extensive amount or information available on the decedents of Debora Arnot – Neal and her husband, Walter Neal Jr., in a book written by Chester I. Miller, “Neal's of Bedford Co., Va. and Family of Walter Neal, Sr. of Lawrence and Gallia Counties, Ohio”, Library of Congress Number 92-71390. This book was printed in limited number, but is available in some libraries. I know that it is available in the Ironton, Ohio public library.
Did you ever produce the book on the Arnott family you mentioned in your GenForum post?
