East Rochester: Friday, June 19, 2009, age 90. Predeceased by wife, Mary (Carpino). He is survived by his daughters, Lillian Arnone, Stephanie (George) Valenti; stepson, Sam (Patricia) Polito; and grandchildren, George, Stephen, Elizabeth Valenti and Chris (Anita) & Joe (Cindy) Polito; and great-grandchildren; sisters, Molly Cascini and Mary Laurino; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Stromquist, Camille (Henry) Steves, Frances (Donald) Condello, Vilma and Carmel Carpino; and several loving nieces & nephews. Steve was a World War II Navy veteran, and owned and operated Steve's Bar in East Rochester. Steve's beautiful spirit, kind heart and wonderful sense of humor earned him the love and friendship of his family and friends. Rest in peace, Papa. We love you. Special thanks to Steve's angels, Michael Shaffer & Roz Kissel for their loving care. Special gratitude to the staff on 5800 at Rochester General Hospital for their compassion and unwavering care.
