Per William Arnold's 1836 probated will in Grant County, he had two grandsons named James Hogan and Alfred Hogan. Which of the Arnold daughters married a Hogan? Which Hogan did she marry as there is a Zachariah and a William in that county during the early 1800s, maybe another not listed in tax records? Zachariah is recorded to be married to Delilah Marksbury. There is conflicting information online about these Grant County Hogans. Alfred Hogan is my husband's line. Alfred died young with a newborn and four other youngsters for his young widow to raise, and evidence shows in poverty per Grant County records.
