The Arnold Family of Smithfield, Rhode Island has just been published by the Newbury Street Press of the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Thomas Arnold was in Watertown, Massachusetts, by 1636 and moved to Providence, Rhode Island, in 1655. His life and the lives of five generations of his descendants surnamed Arnold are covered, including the families of the Arnold daughters.
The book is meticulously researched by Richard H. Benson, winner of the 2006 Jacobus Award for his book, The Read Family of Salem, Massachusetts. It includes xvii + 636 pages.
