In fact, Baptist Armsworthy was loyal to the American side during the revolution. He was captured by the British and held prisoner on a ship for some time. It was British Gerneral Lord Montague who conscripted prisoners to fight for the British in the West Indies. For his service to the crown he was given a tract of land in Nova Scotia from which the Canadian Armsworthys have all decended from - of which I am one.
(Just to set the record straight)

Regards,
Daryl Armsworthy
