Although I have not connected to this Arms family, it might be beneficial to report that in 1880 Charles H. Arms age 28, with his wife Almeda age 26, and three daughters Mary Ann age 6, Loutilla, age 4, and Christina age 2, were living in Elizabeth, Lawrence Co., Ohio.
In 1900 they were living in Murphy Twp., Cherokee Co., NC
Charles and Almeda with their children
Oscar, born Nov 1880, age 19
Emma E., born March 1883, age 17
Eliza, born April 1887, age 13
William M., born Dec 1888, age 11
Floyd born Feb 1895, age 5
In the 1900 census Almeda reports she had 9 children, 8 of which were living at the time of the census. This would account for 8 of their children. The elder daughters had already left home by 1900.
In the 1880 census Charles reports he was born in KY, while Almeda reports she was born in Ohio. In 1900 they both report they were born in Ohio. I just depends on memory and who answers the questions.
