Tony, good to have you here.I live about 80 miles from Lynchburg, Va. and just across Smith Mountain Lake from Bedford County.I'm in Lynchburg on business occasionally and while there a few years back, visited the library in search of family.I found census records and tax records on William Arms which placed him there and supposedly born there.I found nothing which suggests Edward made it to Kentucky.Sorry I misled you on that.Another item I looked at were memoirs by William Arms, Jr. in Leitchfied, Ky. library. These were all very interesting but offered little on Edward, etc.Edward had to have parents so it's likely only a matter of time before they're found. It was suggested by one person, some time back, that perhaps the name had been shorten/changed from some thing other than Arms. However, there are Armes in England and I'm not convinced yet that this is a possibility.I'll be in Lynchburg again next month, if there's something I can search for, let me know. Thanks for all you assistance.I hope many more Armes will join this forum.
