I would be delighted to get the information you have about Hamilton AND Jane/Jennie, including their ancestors. I have limited information, that I obtained after the death of a family member. It is hand-written, probably transcribed from something else that was hand-written, because the person who did my copy had some difficulty deciphering the spelling. From this record, I have Hamilton's wife's name as Jennie Craig and that she was Scots-Irish. The person who wrote this info. states that the Armours, in general, were a very old Pennsylvania Irish family and were the founders of Armour Meats. Another resource refers to them as "Pennsylvania Dutch." I believe your information is the correct version. There were so many Hamilton Armours in that area of Penn., that it is difficult to sort them all out. I am quite sure that some of the copies of documents I have pertain to Hamiltons other than "mine." I have copies of several documents pertaining to Hamilton J. Armour, but since I now know that his wife was not Jane/Jennie, I know he is the wrong person. I have the following as the children of Hamilton Armour and Jane/Jennie: Betsy (I suppose it was Elizabeth) married a Limber Susan married an Adams Sally married Benjamin Sisley--these are my ancestors Maria (probably Mary) married a Gevens or Cevens, or something similar Jennie married McCartney or McCartner or something like that and James, Robert, John (or possibly Joan--it is hard to read), and Thomas. I have no further information on these people. If you are interested, I can provide you with a LOT of information about the family of Sally Armour and Benjamin Sisley. If we do decide to exchange volumes of information, we may want to find a way to exchange postal mailing addresses. Marge Notify Administrator about this message?
