G'Day LindyP,
Thank you for your reply.With the help of others,we are back as far as Robert Armour c.1680,who married Helen Andrew b.1 Apr.1683.They married 20 Mar 1709 by what I have.Children were all born Campbeltown:John b.1710,Jean b.1712,Robert b.1716,James b.1716(assume twins as same christening date)Peter b.1718,David b.1721,Edward b.1723,Alexander b.1726 d.1728,Alexander b.1729.
John is from my wife's line and he married 13May 1729 to Janet Clark.
James married Florence Stewart.He apparently died 1796. Edward we believe married Agnes Armour b.1720,Campbeltown.
Maybe Robert Armour and your Janet b.1676 are siblings.Something to look for.Could share more if interested.All the best,Lyn and Trevor,Australia.
