Heather,
Did your George Armor have any ancestors or relatives in TN? I have an Elizabeth (Louisa?) Armor, my gg-grandmother on my father's side, whom I would like to research. I don't know her dob, but she died July 07, 1848 (in TN?). She was married on February 09, 1832 to Peter Baker (1811-1832 in Madison Co., TN). Their daughter, my g-grandmother, was Louisa Caroline Baker, who was born December 19, 1836 in Shelby Co., TN, d. November 11, 1909 in Mansfield, Tarrant Co., TX, m. Levi Wilson Mason (b. 1835 in Madison Co. TN, d. 1928 in Dallas, TX) on January 05, 1858 in Madison Co., TN. Their son, William Peter Nathanial Mason, was my grandfather (who was also born in TN but ended up in TX). I have more info.
If any of this rings a bell or if you should know of anyone else researching this family, please contact me. I'm not sure if ours was spelled Armor or Armour.
Thanks,
Shirley (in TX)
