I am researching the descendants of Francis FREW and Margaret WILSON. One of their daughters, Charlotte Frew (b 1813) married Robert ARMOUR in 1834. There are 2 IGI entries for this marriage, 1 month apart, 1 in Irvine and 1 in Kilmarnock (are these the same or a different marriage?). Anyway Robert and Charlotte had at least 6 children; James Armour (1835), Margaret Armour (1837), Francis Armour (1844), Charlotte Armour (1846), Robert Armour (1849) and William Taylor Armour (1854). All births were recorded in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland. The only child I know anything about is Charlotte who appears to have been in the same house as her mother at the 1881 Census in Kilmarnock. She was listed as Charlotte ADAMS along with a James Adams. There was also a Grand Daughter, Maggie Armour in the house (I do not know which son? was the father).
Does anyone recognise this armour family. I would like to hear from any descendants. I would also like to find out about the parents of the Robert Armour.
