Could the H Buford below be your general?
In my estimation, he is the son of John A - Ann Harrison, son of John Baylor A.
John Baylor's brother was Walker A, who's sons were Lewis Addison A, and Edward Bowles father of Henry Marshall Armistead.
So the Gen LA Armistead was the second cousin of Gen H. Beauford Armistead both tracing back to John A and Lucy Baylor.
At least, thats my guess.
Also notice TALIAFERRO Cecelia. Might she be the second wife of LA Armistead?
Do you have any known connections to land grants in Western Virginia (WV) in the late 1700's early 1800's?
