My Grandfather Sabino Armijo was born in The Rancho Mezquite in Matehuala San Luis Potosi Mexico in 1905 my Grandmother Hesiquia Arevalo was born 1906. I have no information on what their parent s name was and who The Armijo was that started The Armijo Family line in Matehuala San Luis Potosi Mexico. There are alot of people with the last name Armijo and Arevalo in Matehuala San Luis Potosi Mexico. I was thinking if it was possible for Manuel Armijo the governor of New Mexico and his brother Juan Armijo to have a connection with Matehuala San Luis Potosi Mexico because Manuel Armijo served in the Mexican Army and traveled alot in Mexico and when Manuel Armijo retired to Lamitar New Mexico he live across The River Sabino across where his brother Juan Armijo was living. My grandfather named my mother Maria Del Socorro De Armijo. I also read something about a General Gabriel Armijo who was in the Mexican Army and killed in Matehuala San Luis Potosi Mexico, I am sure there is a connection but I can not seen to find it. I would like to follow my ancestor s family line as far back as possible and connect the dot s.
