The land grant no longer exits. In the early
1950's the family voted to sell the land grant. The city of Rio Rancho, now populated
by nearly 80,000 people occupies the former land grant. My grandmother was an armijo and
lived in Alameda, which is north of Albuquerque. She was born there. My dad was
born in Albuq.
