Shirley, hello, I am looking into the Armfield family because of a connection to my g-grandfather. He married Rhoda Armfield in Catahoula parish, LA in `1881. I'm not sure how J.S. is related but probably is- since my grandfather was a cousin to the Armfield's. Also two of my great-aunts married Armfield's
You might want to check in West or East Carroll parish, LA. This is where my great-Aunt's lived. Annie Estell Tomlinson mar I.E. Armfield "Bud"; Eunice Roberty "Birdie" mar Dee Armfield. Birdie also married a Joseph Aarons in 1924 maybe Catahoula parish where she was raised. But according to one of my Great-Aunts she did not live with him but a few months. He lived on a boat?? Stranger tales have been told~!!!!. If I can add any more let me know.

PS. If you have any other info on the Armfield's I would be interested to know - since they connect with my Tomlinson so much.
Am trying to get past my William Moses Tomlinson. He was the father of the above aunts who married Armfield's and Aaron.
