Diane,
Joab b. ca 1811 S/O Isaac & Mary Stephenson. This Isaac was S/O Wm. (Little Billy) & Elizabeth Green. The will of Little Billy clearly shows his son Isaac was deceased, and he left money to his children. This Isaac was b. ca 1780; d. bef. 29 Nov 1813 as noted in the McCubbin Papers. I believe there is only one Joab, but MANY Isaac's. Robert Stephenson was an Uncle to Joab, and sister to Mary Stephenson, W/O Isaac of above.
The Isaac who died 22 Jan 1845 was S/O Isaac & Elizabeth (Jackson??)[probably not Brown]This Isaac was also known in records as Isaac, Sr, and his son, Isaac, Jr., making two different sets of Isaac, Sr. & Jr. All direct descendants, father, son, grandson, and great grandson. This Isaac m. his cousin Jane/Jean Armfield D/O Little Billy.
