My name is Clarene. Am trying to research my Armentrout family. My gggrandfather, James P. Smith, was married to a Polly Armentrout. (her name probably Mary Magdalina). James and Polly were married 2 July 1827 in Rockingham VA. On the marriage bond/records is lists Polly's father as George Armentrout - deceased. Have hit a brick wall with George.... Where did you find your copy of the Armentrout Book? Is there any mention of this Polly/Mary and James P. Smith in the book. Any help greatly appreciated.
