Ned

My grandfather Mugerditch Ouzoonian was among the first 800 Armenians ever to come to America. I've traced and recorded every known Armenian from 1618-2/2/1885, the date my grandfather arrived in New York. Just one of many aspects of genealogy I've put together in my 38 years of research on my family.

My grandmother Soghomon Dagermanjian's sisters lived in New Jersey arriving as early as 1898.

My grandparents lived in many cities in the east. He was an early photoengraver, by my records the 8th Armenian to become a photoengraver (2/10/1887). My family has followed photography for the past 5 generations.I've traced all early known Armenians in engraving and photography.

I still have relatives in New Jersey. I, however am in California having been here since 1908 as a family.

By the way, my grandfather was the first Ouzoonian in America, of which I'm am proud of.

Hope I didn't over do it here.

Alan
