The game played with knuckle bones, known as "aşık" bones in Turkish was played throughout Anatolia. My mother knew how to play it, but we never played it during my childhood in the 1960s. But apparently, the game is still played in rural parts of Turkey. There is a poor quality YouTube video showing some children playing it in a Turkish village:
