Thanks, Jerry. This is most helpful. I'll try using "Harry" in some of my searches. I know many equivalent names, but this one had me stumped. Unfortunately, between the seemingly random responses given by family members and the unbelievable misspellings recorded by census takers, in some cases I've had to comb through street by street until I found our family.
