Hi all,
Searching for information on my grandparents' families. Both grandparents were orphans from Shabin Karahissar who eventually ended up in Armenian orphanages in Cairo.
Grandfather: Yeznig Hovagim Vetzikian
Grandmother: Siranoush Tozlian
My grandmother's father (Mardiros Tozlian) took the family to the fort and fought till the end. He was a lawyer. I'm trying to see if any way to trace which university he would have graduated from. European? Turkish?
Any info on any of above, especially Shabin Karahissar, and how to find birth records, and other records would be appreciated.
