This is the age-old dilemma an Armenian Genealogist faces. Unfortunately there is no way other than going there or knowing someone there who can find out for you. Why these records aren't digitized at all parishes and made available online is beyond me. Armenians are lightyears behind the other churches in this regard. Several Genealogists are working online at the below website to start to digitize and translate all the headstones at the Armenian Cemeteries of India and eventually Bangladesh. Hopefully this trend will spread to other parishes and other types of record, but for now we're starting with a few of us, and starting small. We need funding and we need volunteer help, but it's exciting to see this get off the ground, no matter how small-scale.

Anyway, for your case I'm checking with some friends who might be able to help. If they can, I'll ask you for the details. If you don't hear from me, it was a no-go.

Best,

John Avedian
