My Family history goes back to Dikranagert on both sides... Actually the grandparents names were Yaghlejian, Boyagian and Najarian. They came into Ellis Island between 1900 and 1917. Settled in New Jersey (Union City)... some in Boston area. I have started my family tree and have become more and more interested in putting together information about the Dikranagertze "subculture" and am contacting anyone I find on the web who might have information to share. There doesn't seem to be very much specific to the our lineage. There is apparently a book by Dikran Spear (or Dikran Mkund) that is a sort of History of Dikranagert and has a whole listing of dialect and words that are unique to the Dik culture. I came across one or two other books by this author but neither was the book I was looking for. I was wondering if anyone knows of this book... the title? Where I might find a copy. Or if you know of any other reference sites I might look. It appears the Dikrangertze lineage is fading. My brothers and I have kept the Cooking alive :) but we want to put together as much info as we can for our children and future generations of our family. If you have any information you can share, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks TAK Notify Administrator about this message?
