During my reearch for ancestors of the family I found out that the name should come from Armenia and I found the name Koauis MATRIAN, born 14.7.1893 ( or 1891 ) in Harpoot/Turkey. His wife was Guvar MIKALIAN, born 16.8.1893 in Harpoot. He emigrated to USA about 1912 and his wife emigrated also to USA about 1920.( Later in USA a mistake during writing makes the name change to MATOIAN ).
They married 10.101910 also in Harpoot and later in USA they got about 4 children.
Is anybody able to help me to find out more ?? I donīt know where I can search in Harpoot to find out who are the parents and did they have any brothers and sisters. Whre is the name coming from and so on. If anybody has information about the name MATRIAN ( also MADRIAN and MATOIAN ) please write to me and let me know.
I would be glad if anybody can help or has any idea how I can find out more.
