Dulgarians in Kharpert, Turkey (HELP!!!)

My great grandfather was born in Kharpert, Turkey in 1878. He immigrated through Ellis Island and received his citizenship in Pennsylvania in 1894. I am searching to find out who his parents were. If anyone has any information that would atleast point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
