Melanie, Unfortunately, Manoogian (and its many phonetic equivalents, e.g. Manougian, Manoukian, etc.) is a very common name. My grandmother was also a Manoogian who was born about the same time, but was orphaned (knowing she had siblings) by the 1896 Hamidian Massacres. Do you know more of your ancestor's story?
