My father was from the village of Nizri in Kaesaria province in Turkey. The village was comprised of about 150 families. The men were almost all blacksmiths who traveled a six month circuit of the neighboring Armenian, Turk and Kurd villages serving their needs.
He immigrated to america in early 1900's.
