I would like to add a few points/corrections to this Appletree line - so maybe as it does its continuous rounds between different researchers the correct info can be passed on at some point!

John ARIS (as spelt in Aston le Walls registers)did not marry an Ann LOCKTON therefore the mother of James & Benjamin ARIS was not LOCKTON.

John ARIS married Ann nee GARDNER.

Ann GARDNER was the 2nd wife of John Aris & possibly stepmother to his son from the first marriage - unless John's family took the baby in.

The banns for their marriage were posted 23/30/Sept & 7 Oct 1798 at Chipping Warden parish church.

John ARIS was buried 1807 @ Aston le Walls - his widow Ann then married a Thomas LOCKTON, widower, in 1809 @ Aston le Walls.

It was me that found the marriage banns for James ARISS & Mary BACHELOR, as spelt in the Chipping Warden register.
2/9/16 April 1820 James ARISS otp & Mary BACHELOR of Lower Catesby, N'hants
Married 17/4/1820 @ Upper Catesby.

This information I passed onto the main/longtime researchers of this line a few years ago.

John & Ann also had a daughter after James 1799 & Benjamin 1801 -- Mary in 1803.

I also have the Mixbury PR's & info on the BLINCO/E family.

Regards to all
