My grandfather Rafael Arias was originally from Asturias. He emigrated to Cuba I believe at the beginning of the 20th century. I was in Spain in 1983, and I got in touch by mail with a cousin of my aunt called Maruca Arias. Their family lives in Aviles, Asturias. The invited me there but I could not make it.

Unfortunatly, I lost her address, and I was unable to get in touch with her again. I tried to get help from instititions posted on the web including the mayor of Asturias.

Perhaps, there may be some connections between our fammilies.
