Rubertone/Robertone family from Anzi, Basilicata

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find information about Argentine descendants of members of the Rubertone family, from the village of Anzi, in Basilicata, southern Italy. This is complicated by the fact that there are also Rubertone families from a few other villages, some of whom may also have migrated.

I have found records suggesting that Michele (Miguel) Rubertone and his wife Concetta (Concepcion) Barbarito migrated to San Lorenzo, Santa Fe, and had several children there (from the 1895 census and some baptismal records). I believe they are from Anzi as their details seem to correspond with information I have from the Anzi records.

I think their name was changed at some point to Robertone, and I was briefly in contact with a Robertone I believe is a descendant, who lives in Concordia, Entre Rios. Aside from that, however, I have not been able to find any information.

Does anyone know anything about this family, or have any advice on how I might find more information? I am completely new to Argentine genealogy.

Thanks very much!
