Hi, Thanks for the suggestions. I actually did use studio batres to do the research for me but they were unable to find any new information. I was quite disappointed because I thought they would find it a simple job but unfortunately it didnt work out that way.
I have started to write to the provinces one by one. I was a bit thrown when I was told by studio batres that cities also have their own BDM. They wrote to several places with no luck.
Im not sure where my GGgrandmother actually lived or when she died. And I dont know the name of the man she married there. My lack of knowledge on these factors complicates the whole search. Ive asked my family several times but no one can remember.
I welcome any comments from people who were in a similar predicament who have had success.
