Manuela (de) Monteverde from Buenos Aires (born early 19th century)

Dear Forum,

I'm looking for further details about and the ancestors of one Manuela (de) Monteverde who was, as it seems, born in Buenos Aires as daughter of a colonel de Monte Verde. I received this information from our fellow family searcher John Stevens.

Manuela married to a Danish guy named Peter Markoe Prom, born approximately 1813. Peter allegedly died in Brazil, but I have no further information about his death.

The couple got a daughter, Josepha del Carmen Prom Petersen, born June 17th 1851 in Valparaiso, Chile (adopted by Georg Diedrich Asmus Petersen and Caroline Weidemann) who died on August 12th 1911 in Bredsten, Denmark, on the Engelsholm estate.

The handwritten notes that John managed to retrieve mention the following children for Peter Markoe Prom and his Manuela: William, Manuel, Elisa, Pepita (= Josepha), Frederick. I have no clue where the name "del Carmen" comes from (may be the wife of colonel de Monte Verde ???).

So I'm now looking for any piece of information of whatever nature that can help to further uncover the secrets of Manuela de Monteverde's ancestry and may be even Peter Markoe Prom's death.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards from The Netherlands in our nice European winter ...,

Jan (Schultheiss)
