We are in search of any family related to Richard Butler Searight, born in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas on October 27, 1920. He worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as early as 1940 as indicated on the passenger manifest for the ship Argentina which arrived in New York on 26 Oct 1940 from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on 3 Dec 1942 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio and at that time indicated that he had 4 years of college and was single.

There is an article in the Western Kansas Press, Great Bend, Kansas on 17 Jan 1963 which indicated that he was a survivor of a plane that crashed in Sao Paulo, Brazil suffering a broken rib and leg as well as a wrenched shoulder. He was working for the Honeywell Corp. as a technician at that time.
