My direct line is from the gg-grandfather of John William Arey and I do not know where John William Arey's family lived, but my line of the Arey family living in Rushville, Rockingham Co, VA, which is just slightly SE of Rawley Springs. Both locations are on, or near, the Dry River, so it is entirely possible that the family of John William lived in Rawley Springs, but I do not have any evidence to support this.
