First, I am not related to Francis, but I do have cousins that are.I cannot claim to know the family well but, through my cousins, I met most of the ARENDS siblings with the exception of Clarence and Francis.

This all started during a conversation with my (10 year older) brother. He had polio when about 12 so I would drive 90 miles to his house and we would go to a family reunion. On one drive we were talking about polio and he commented that Francis ARENDS could pitch a baseball faster than anyone in the area, despite wearing braces on both legs (due to polio).I had to ask who Francis was.At the reunion I asked one of the older cousins if he knew Francis and I was told that he and Francis were one week apart in age.So, when I got home from the reunion, I searched SSDI for Francis...and there he was...one week older than Bill!! So, I knew it was the correct Francis!!!

As I've done a lot of genealogy, I suspect that I could find descendants for most of Francis' siblings, with the exception of Clarence, who lived in Texas.I could put you in touch with at least one cousin, maybe two.Are you interested?I can also give you "general" information on the family, but you would have to do the rest of the work because the info in my head is thirty years old.
