Arellano Family Genealogy Forum

Hello all,
I'm hope my reply is not to late, but I started to investigate the Arellano surname because I met a philipino man on the bus and we started talking and when he asked me about my last name and I told him it was Arellano he told me how in the philipines it belongs to an important family. I already knew that my desendents were from Spain but I had no idea there was an Arellano family over there. I just wanted to ask if you think the Arellano family surname are related to anyone from Guadalajara Mexico. I got my surname from my dad his name is Luis Arellano, his father name ws also Luis Arellano. My grandfathers parents were both Arellanos, I dont have there names but I will ask my father. Any thoughts on that? Thanks and glod bless.
