Hi. My Name is Manuel Ceja. My mother was Ruth (Maria del Refugio) Arellano who was born near Irapuato, Guanajuato. She apparently had 5 children, all girls, from an earlier marriage when she became a widow. She then left for the US around late 40's or early 50's to find work. She never talked much about her earlier life when I was young, but I'm interested in finding more about any Arellanos who might be related. I've also reaserched the web and found an Arellano who was on an expedition with the conquistadores. I also have a copy of a map that was made about the conquistadores with the name Arellano as one of the leaders.
