Hello! My name is also Anna Arellano from Newton Kansas and now living in Anthem Arizona.
I have just begun my genealogy research and have been quite lucky -- I am hoping for continued success!
Your information on the Arellano's from Zacatecas is of interest to me as my father believes his great-grandfather was from Zacatecas. We don't have very much info on him to date.
The lineage goes something like this -
Francisco Arellano -- Zacatecas?
Mariano C Arellano (Son) - Zacatecas and married
Juana Ledesma and moved to Newton Kansas
they had 9 or 10 children
Juan L. Arellano (my grandfather) born Nov 15,1911 in
Newton Kansas
His brothers were: Anselmo Arellano, Enes Arellano, Epiphanio Arellano, Jesus Arellano and one other that my dad believes was still born.
His sisters were: Cora Arellano, Jenny Arellano, Paula Arellano Modesto, Elaria Arellano Carrion, and one other but I don't know her name.
Juan L Arellano married my grandmother Georgia Corona Arellano Nov. 17 1934 in Newton.
My grandparents - Juan L & Georgia C Arellano - had 8 children -

Robert Arellano - My father - of Newton Kansas
Elvira Arellano-Macias - of San Jose California
Sara Arellano-Calvillo - of San Jose California
Eduardo Placido Arellano - of Norman Oklahoma

Julia Socorro Arellano - deceased - formerly of Newton KS
and
Thomas Patrick Arellano - of Newton Kansas
Robert Arellano (my dad) married Katherine Rosella Flores (my Mom) in Aug 1959. There are 4 girls in our family

Anna Marie Arellano - Payne of Anthem Arizona
