Hello Shirley. I did not want to answer for Anna, but I am not sure how often she checks the gen forum. Between myself and Anna I am pretty sure that we have ruled out Robert Ardrey (born in 1816) as the son of Robert and Margaret Gibson. He was actually the son of Alexander Ardrey and Susannah Gaddis. However, I have a 4 page history compiled around 1910 on a branch of the Ardrey family. It lists Robert and Margaret Ardrey and their descendants. I have never been able to connect them to my line of Ardreys. If you would like a copy I would be happy to send one to you.
