Seeking parents & siblings of William ARDREY b. 1765 Ireland-d. 11 Mar 1831 York Dist. SC; buried Ebenezer Cem. Also, need family name & info of William ARDREY's first wife, Mary, who died c1798 and said to buried on the ARDREY plantation in York Co. SC. There is some indication that her maiden name may have been ALEXANDER. Issue: Margaret m. Charles McILWAIN; James Alexander (my gg grandpa & 2nd wife) m.1/ Eliza SUTEN; m.2/ Elizabeth HARVEY Glover lived in MS & LA; Elizabeth "Betsie" m. James PRESSLEY; Letitia m. Alfred ALEXANDER, settled in GA; Joseph Nesbitt m. 1/Nancy _?_; m. 2/Missouri COE, settled in LA; and William A. m. Mrs. Lydia POTTS Cureton, settled in NC. William, Sr. m. 2/Jane AMBERSON Nichols & had issue: Mary A. m. Jeremiah THOMASSON; John m. Sarah _?_ settled in AR; Robert (may have settled in MS); Jane m. James FEWELL; Nancy Agnes m. James McCALLUM. Jane AMBERSON first m. James NICHOLS & had issue: Matthew; Elizabeth & Sarah m. James THORN. Would like to correspond with any descendants and will gladly exchange information.
